Hot rolling technology is a steelmaking process. After pre-heating the metal, it is plastically formed by passing it through rolling mill stands, each equipped with a pair of counter-rotating rollers. The rolled profile can be used as a finished product or as a semi-finished profile for further forming technologies, such as cold drawing.
